Underspending on various projects has given Cabonne Council the ability to fund urgently required safety upgrades to public pools in Molong, Yeoval and Cumnock. The general manager’s report to councillors – presented at Cabonne Council’s Tuesday meeting – recommended that $55,437.80 be spent. An independent report “highlighted immediate action is required to install leak detection and automatic shutdown units at Cabonne chlorine gas operated swimming pool sites, due to safety audit of the public pools”.
